  The scarier version is that  Good Morgue Stars Shirt  they really think this is some sort of hoax.  I don't think they understand that we will have enough data by late October to know what the actual death toll will be. I literally think that the Trump admin just can't conceptualize that the death rate data will be public by then.  At this point, I think it would be so painful to accept that one was, basically, an accessory to mass murder, that the anti-mask crowd will never accept the truth even as it tears through their own family and community. I think a lot of people prefer to believe a comforting lie - media hoax, it's just the flu, the numbers are exaggerated than to believe the harsh truth- we're on track to have 200k deaths in the new few months. I tried to explain this to a family member recently. Their actions, their sharing of disinformation in their friend group, will lead to harm and possibly death.
