I had to read it a few times before it actually sunk in. I think this gave me as much of a shock as Alan Rickman and Robin Williams. I know this doesn't mean much, but a family member of mine got to work closely with him during the film 42, she did the costumes and said he could not have been a more down to earth, nice person. Treated everyone from the wardrobe to catering with the same respect, talked to you as if he'd known you for years, and was just a stand-up guy all around. RIP to a true legend. This is absolutely devastating. I had no idea he was even sick. No one did. This man filmed seven, SEVEN movies while battling stage 4 colon cancer. I lost my grandfather to stage 4 colon cancer. It’s a horrific disease. I’m absolutely gutted by this loss. Heartbreaking doesn’t even begin to cover it. I remember seeing Endgame when it came out in Harlem. When all the avengers showed up one by one at the end, people were getting hyped. When BP showed up all the young black kids were out of their seats cheering.
