Those stuntmen and RIP Marvel Black Panther Chadwick Boseman Wakanda Forever Shirt women deserve an Oscar category. I’ve heard the concerns about that incentivizing more dangerous stunts but from all, I read any competent stunt department will always advocate for the most stringent of safety measures. Also if they don’t have a stuntman union then they should. That's hard to do as well because the actors and cars aren't singular points in a physics problem; there are way too many other moving parts. Hair, cloth straps, the way your chin slightly tucks inwards when your foot hits the ground, any random thing in the environment... You might not be sure exactly how when watching it, but it will look noticeably off if you go beyond, say, 105% or something. While I won't discredit his amazing talents for all of the work he did, it's more than likely that during the Civil War he was undiagnosed since it was probably largely filmed in late 2015. That being said, he still managed to act his ass off for a beautiful career that I already loved before I knew he was battling cancer. Knowing he did that whole library of titles while hiding he had cancer is even more impressive. I was fully expecting to watch him perform in movies for decades, and I am sad I don't get to see him more, but what he provided in the time that he had will always be cherished to me. I loved his work and I just wish I got to see more of him. My wife and I are planning on watching Black Panther again tomorrow night in his honor. I watched my mother die of cancer so it’s going to be hard as hell with the extra context, but it’s something I feel compelled to do. I know a lot of people with colon issues.
