 With my mom. She told me LGBT Baby Yoda Yoda Best Pride Mom Shirt she wasn't homophobic before I came out, and then proceeded to go completely against that statement by taking away any pride gear I bought and constantly reminding me not to tell anyone like she was ashamed of me. She also acted like I never told her and kept mentioning people of the opposite sex that she thought I would be cute with/should talk to. She also insisted that the fake crushes I had in middle school were real, because "she knows me".Then shortly after I got out I met my girlfriend, the best woman I ever dated (including the failed marriage), and she happens to be trans. She is a very strong Christian but believes in the loving, kind, tolerant, and accepting teachings of Jesus. I was used to a more conservative message and one of the many reasons the faith never clicked with me. She, along with AA which I was/am involved with, helped show me a more loving and embracing side of faith. I guess not all religious people are bad, but man the bad ones are the fucking loudest. This is a short one, the topic came up in conversation with my mother and step-sister(she’s 15) my sister proceeded to say, and I quote “I’m not homophobic, but I don’t agree with it like I don’t think a boy should be with a boy but like, I’m not homophobic”. No one in my family knows my sexuality so this really hurt because I couldn’t say anything. That's literally homophobia. Homophobia doesn't always have to mean you hate someone for being gay, and they have to be taken out back and shot. Homophobia can also mean someone who is ok with it in theory but not in practice, and while they won't stop someone from being gay,
