I think this “oh god sugar tax is awesome” - OP completely disregards the fact that soft drinks and fast food are adjusted to the taste of the population, and these different kcal levels are not thanks to sugar tax whatsoever. Dr pepper is excellent, but I never drank it as a child. Regular coke is still good, not sure if it tastes the same because I literally didn't drink it for like 10 years. Sprite is literally impossible to drink, it's completely disgusting. It must have tasted different when I was a child (pre sugar tax) because I loved it. Although again, I stopped drinking fizzy drinks between the ages of 12-20.
