It’s dangerous and careless. Sadly, people are allowed to be any flavor of asshole inside their private homes and on their private property. The sidewalk is public domain. Stay on the sidewalk and make her miserable from there. Shit, hand out flyers to her neighbors with pictures of her wearing that swastika. But stay off her private property. We need to keep ourselves safe and set good examples of safety during protesting for generations to come. Yeah man, I remember walking my dog when I first moved to Portland and this one of my neighbors left their front door open and there was a huge swastika flag on the living room wall behind the couch. Portland has a very large population of white supremacists. I know that when I see people wearing or defending or hailing the swastika that it’s a nazi symbol and it’s abhorrent and shouldn’t be tolerated. But when my Indian neighbors get the cops called on them continuously for putting two small swastikas on their door to symbolize the happiness and well being they feel from having bought a new house I just feel so misunderstood and conflicted. I feel so much anger and resentment for the way a symbol of peace has become so maligned.
