Totally supportive of this decision though good on them. Didn't think it would happen, just feel bad for those that are going to get shouted at and put in danger. Like really bad. Except, that with each retailer/establishment/city/whatever that institutes a mandatory face-covering rule, it becomes a little more normalized and ingrained as acceptable, normal behavior. And that 50% becomes 55%, then another supermarket in town adds the requirement and it becomes 58% or 60% usage as the norm. And by the end of the month, a large chunk of the "I don't want to wear the mask" brigade is simply doing it because it's easier than putting up a fight (not all of them, but many of them), or it eventually becomes a habit. Which is far from great, but literally every little bit helps. Since most Walmarts are in mid to smaller cities/towns I can guarantee less than half will actually enforce them. Many more will stop after a confrontation or two because corporate will not back up store managers on this and bend to customer complaints punishing the location. This is all pr and nothing else. Just like when GameStop said they provided all stores with gloves, masks, and sanitizer. If you didn’t know virtually all stores reported this was false. When employees did ask about it they were told to pay for it out of pocket and they would be reimbursed.
