My experience has been Masters 6ft Back Or 6ft Under Shirt somewhat similar. I was ostracized by most students and staff at my public high school because I was a fat girl, so I went to a vocational school to finish my last two years with fresh faces. I had to email my GC about potential scholarship opportunities because that wasn't something they would info for vocational students. I'm a first-gen college student, so I had no idea how any of it worked. I ended up giving the senior address at my career center's certificate of completion ceremony. Giving my speech to 2500+ people, including my public school's two GC, was terrifying but thrilling. The other GC gave me kudos afterward, but mine could barely give me a fake smile. I'm going into my 5th and last year of undergrad, where I will graduate next May with a BS and a BA. I'm also looking to apply for grad school in the next few months. I would still love to tell that GC and my shitty 8th grade algebra teacher (who made me cry at my parent-teacher conference bc he made me sound like I was an idiot) to go fuck off. I taught elementary kids (granted, it was only for four months) English in rural Japan, but if you have ADHD, that might work out well. I was teaching them English, per my advisor in the company it was closer to "entertaining them in English". This meant playing games, doing skits, singing songs, and overall making sure that the kids are having fun and are interested. It was fun, but I'm not excitable or energetic enough for elementary kids.
