I am sure you are right and this is not meant as an attack on you or other great teachers but for some people taking a peek behind the curtain of the system is enough to recognize that working in education is "not for them". Nothing worse than locking yourself in a career path this does not fit you because you want to do good. Changing the system from within can be burnout-inducing exhausting. The important thing to remember is that if you revolt and it's done in a violent militaristic fashion. You can and will be labeled an enemy of the state. It's a commitment that will last a lifetime, and you don't need to look very far back in history to see what the US is willing to do to enemies of the state.
